In Dchier - 800 meters from La Fiermontina Ocean
The Cadì's House is a dwelling for curious travellers, a place for those seeking an authentic place to stay that allows them to feel immersed in local culture. It is both a house and a museum situated in the village of Dchier, a reconstruction that Fouad Giacomo and Antonia Yasmina-Filali have dedicated to their paternal grandfather, the Cadì Thami Filali, a judge of Koranic Law with a fascinating history.
This traditional house features a living room with a fireplace, a desk, historical family photos and a telephone from 1940. It can accommodate two people in a twenty square metre bedroom that features a Moroccan-style canopy bed and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.
In its beautiful kitchen, cooking classes are held for those wishing to learn how to prepare traditional Moroccan dishes, and the beautiful valley below is visible from the one-hundred square metre terrace.
“The Cadi's home welcomes you; his memory diffuses fragrances of incense, a sweetness dominates the valley, leathery with woody notes. Just outside the Douar, down the hill, La Fiermontina Ocean gazes upon the dune of Sahel. In the morning, the Ocean breathes a fragrance of spray and waves. At that moment, immensity is at hand. Then, the sky reverses as a mirror of the soul! Your journey has only just begun...”
