At the age of seventeen, Enzo Fiermonte became a professional boxer, acquiring a level of fame that allowed him to travel all over the world. Fighting in Milan, Paris, London and Cairo, he eventually made it to Madison Square Garden in New York, where he fought to become the world champion.
After meeting the wealthy American heiress, Lady Madeleine Astor, whilst on a luxury cruise, he divorced his first wife, Tosca, marrying Astor in 1933.
Following his second marriage, Enzo abandoned his boxing career to work as an actor, starring in popular films in the genres of action, adventure and science fiction. His appearance and physical prowess led him to appear in over one-hundred films, including Luchino Visconti’s ‘Rocco and His Brothers’.
After four years, his marriage to Lady Astor ended and he returned to Rome, passing away at the age of eighty-four.
Today, his story continues in the ten elegant rooms of Palazzo Bozzi Corso.
