KORA – Center for Contemporary Art hosts at Palazzo De Gualtieris the final stage of the international project "The Extinct Ending" by Lucia Veronesi, a fascinating work that invites reflection on the disappearance of indigenous languages and the loss of female botanical and scientific knowledge, with deep socio-political implications. The exhibit, open until January 12, 2025, features an imposing tapestry and an immersive audio track, intertwining healing plants and names of endangered languages, evoking a world that is slowly fading away. The complexity of this intertwining is also reflected in the audio, where Amazonian languages like Tikuna and Murui Witoto dissolve into abstract sounds, blending into the noises of a nighttime forest. Alongside Veronesi, the exhibition includes internationally renowned artists such as Jenny Holzer, David Horvitz, Martine Syms, and Lu Yang, with "Play Dead!" A group show, with the first part concluding on December 8, featuring works that explore themes of endings and rebirth in cinema, literature, and art, offering an intense and multisensory experience. This exhibition, combining art and sound, engages visitors in a powerful and poetic experience, inviting reflection on the fragility of our cultural and natural heritage. www.k-ora.it/
