Tahar Ben Jelloun in Lecce for Conversations on the Future

From all over the world, 200 key figures are arriving for the 11th edition of Conversations on the Future

From all over the world, 200 key figures are arriving for the 11th edition of Conversations on the Future, the festival promoted by the association Diffondiamo Idee di Valore, conceived by Gabriella Morelli. From October 16 to 20, the festival will explore the time we live in with its countless facets, creating valuable opportunities for dialogue through nearly a hundred events, including talks, author meetings, performances, live concerts, screenings, and activities in schools. On Saturday, October 19, at 7:30 PM at the Officine Cantelmo in Lecce, the renowned Moroccan writer Tahar Ben Jelloun, who has been awarded the Goncourt Prize, will engage in a dialogue with Corriere della Sera journalist Marta Serafini. They will discuss his essay The Scream and the novel The Lovers of Casablanca, published by La Nave di Teseo. This will be a unique opportunity to delve into the universal themes of justice, freedom, and love that resonate powerfully throughout his work. A privileged perspective on contemporary issues, the struggles and hopes that animate his writings will be unveiled. Known for his ability to explore the depths of the human soul and to narrate the complex social and political dynamics of the Arab world with vibrant language, Ben Jelloun will stay at our Fiermonte Museum, a place whose history seems like the perfect setting to welcome an author who has made cultural dialogue his literary mission.  www.conversazionisulfuturo.it
