A journey into the pictorial universe of Sandro Chia takes shape in the exhibition "The Two Painters. Works on Paper 1989-2017," at the Fondazione Biscozzi | Rimbaud ETS until June 15, 2025. Curated by Lorenzo Madaro, with the support of the Mazzoli Gallery in Modena, the exhibition unveils an intimate and profound side of the artist, between ironic and melancholic marks, symbolic figures, and references to the great history of art. With over 100 works on paper, the exhibition tells the dual nature of Chia: on one hand, an experimenter of new languages, on the other, a careful guardian of tradition. Pinocchio, enigmatic bodies, mocking scenes, and melancholic introspections alternate in a visual archive that reflects his visionary gaze. A founder of Transavantgarde, Chia has been able to engage with the international world, reinventing painting with dense and vibrant expressiveness. This exhibition is a valuable opportunity to rediscover his art and the charm of an unforgettable era. www.fondazionebiscozzirimbaud.it
